About
By Nadia Parekh, Founder
I didn’t plan to start over.
But when everything you’ve built becomes a battlefield, you either burn out - or rebuild with fire.
FAIM (French for “hunger”) is the result of that choice.
A cake brand born from audacity, stitched with scar tissue, and frosted in defiance.
After nearly a decade of building Mélange, a homegrown cake brand I started from my kitchen in 2013, I stepped away due to a toxic business partnership. The brand closed shortly after, and what followed was a long, exhausting legal battle. I fought for what mattered - and I won (Alhamdulillah).
I never questioned my place in pastry. But I did come back hungrier.
FAIM is small-batch, made-from-scratch, and always made-to-order.
No shortcuts. No fondant façades. No pretending.
Just honest layers, loud flavor, and a little salt in the sweet, because real cake should taste like something.
This isn’t a ghost kitchen or a mass production line. It’s a pastry studio where emotion meets execution. Each cake is finished by hand, with buttercream, palette knives, and a borderline obsessive attention to detail.
FAIM is a cake confessional.
It’s dessert that doesn’t ask for permission.
It’s personal, vulnerable, slightly unhinged... And all mine.
Thanks for being here.
