Just Chocolate

There’s a certain kind of chocolate cake that lives in your memory.
Soft. Dark. Slightly messy.
The kind you didn’t question, you just ate.

This is that cake.

Chocolate sponge, chocolate pudding, Ovaltine frosting. No crunch. No twists. Just the version you remember, but better.
I tried to complicate this cake.
Add texture. Add crunch. Make it “interesting.”

It didn’t need it.

Someone called it the Nando’s cake and suddenly it all made sense.
No distractions.
No overthinking.
Just chocolate doing what it does best.

The cake is weighed at approximately 1.5kg and good for up to 8 people. It also stays good in the fridge for 3 days in an airtight container.

P.S. Store the cake in the fridge and leave out for 15 minutes or until it comes to room temperature before serving.
